How to apply for a non immigrant ED visa?
At the Immigration, Cheangwattana Rd. (Division1)
Applicant qualifications
1. Foreigner who holds the visa type below.
- Tourist visa 60 days (*Recommended)
- Exemption visa (ผ.30, ผผ.30, ผผ.90) 30-45-90 days
*Holders of the following visas cannot convert their status to a non-immigrant ED visa and apply for an extension:
- Any other non-immigrant visa
2. Visa procedure takes about 55 - 60 days.
Update: Starting July 15th, some foreign nationals who entered Thailand with a visa exemption and have been granted a maximum stay of 60 days can apply for a student visa.

- An approval letter from the Ministry of Education in Thailand typically takes about 4 weeks to be issued.
- Once it’s ready, we can pick up the document at school.
2. Submit the Requirements at the Immigration Cheangwattana Rd. (Divison 1), C1 Counter.
Your visa must have at least 16 days remaining validity before it expires.

(3) TM 30
(4) Thai phone number
Please send a photo of your blue receipt to the school at aaathaischool@gmail.com or the school's official Line account (@aaathaischool).
Please note: Immigration officials may inform us with short notice, possibly one day in advance. Therefore, we recommend you remain in Bangkok during this time.
4. On your appointment date, have your ED visa stamped at the immigration office (C counter).
Passport & blue receipt (Refer to the appointment date stamp on the blue receipt.)
5. Once you receive your ED visa stamp, present your passport to the school within three days.
We need it submit your document to the MOE for your visa extension.
Note:
- Your ED Visa start date begins when you submit the requirements at the immigration office.
- Immigration's visa processing time is about 16 days.
- Please dress appropriately when you go to immigration.
